I have been a registered vet nurse since 2006, specialising in exotics, wildlife and animal behaviour.
Since leaving practice, I have continued to volunteer with wildlife charities - something I've found rewarding since I was a child - and have been working towards a Canine Behaviour degree, which I hope to formally utilise as part of Big Bad Wolf soon. I update and expand my knowledge constantly; I am currently also completing courses and qualifications in Canine Wellness, Zoopharmacognosy, Canine Massage and Canine Herbalism - to list but a few!
I have a keen interest in proving that love guided by good nutrition, regular exercise (both physical and mental) and owner-education play an equal part in enabling our dogs to lead happy, healthy lives - and Big Bad Wolf gives me the opportunity to do that.
For your peace of mind, I'm also fully insured and a member of the PDWA (Professional Dog Walkers Association).
The Long and Short of it
Alongside Big Bad Wolf, I am also the co-founder of 'The long and Short of it': a non-profit dog rescue organisation, based in North Norfolk, UK. We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home dogs from the city of Nizhnevartovsk, Siberia. Dogs there have often experienced unthinkable atrocities and many of them require ongoing medical and/or surgical care.
